DIARIAA CONSUMER RIGHTS SCORE: 3 (out of
10). Last week: 2
Once again the courts save the consumer
from the marauding music industry and overreaching legislation
from political lackeys. Unfortunately the ruling is too late
for the several hundred people who have already settled their
RIAA lawsuits out of fear. The Consumer Rights Score raises
a notch to 3.

What ever happened to American ingenuity?
The headlines from Canada and Europe show the US loses when
it comes to real solutions and consumer rights. Never fear.
We still win in number of attorneys and power hungry entertainment
associations! The Consumer Rights Score remains at 2 in the
US but gets a 7 in Canada.

RIAA sues a few more folks. More studies
show consumers reject RIAA and the music is bad business. It's
another day in paradise. This could be any week over the past
few months. The Consumer Rights Score remains at 2.
